"Otef" is a tribute project to the towns and villages around Gaza and the northern region that have suffered the most severe damage since the October 7 attack and the struggle for their rehabilitation is only just beginning. We see in these settlements a story of action and hope, an Israeli story. Inspired by the history and heritage of the moshavim, development towns and kibbutzim, we designed T-shirts for 23 settlements, with the understanding that since then and forever and especially now, we are all partners in fate. We are all part of a story that continues to be written. The project is a collaboration between the Brothers Restaurant and the Kon brand.

All profits from the sale of the shirts will be donated to resilience centers that work in the field of coping with trauma and the recovery of communities in the surrounding areas and the north.

The Project

Otef was born our of deep appreciation to Israeli design heritage. The collection draws inspiration from aesthetics, trends, and typographic choices of the 1960s and 1970s, featuring iconic imagery such as water towers, palm trees, and agricultural equipment. These designs reflect the villages, towns and Kibbutzim founders' hopes and aspirations to build a home. While not adhering to official town symbols, the imagery expresses a desire for renewal, rebuilding communities, and fostering future growth. The goal is to honor the past while looking toward a hopeful future for this region and its inhabitants.
